I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
